Celebrating 15 Years of Impact: Food Angel Marks Milestone with New State-of-the-Art Facility

We are proud to extend our warmest congratulations to our long-standing partner, Food Angel, on their 15th anniversary!

To mark this significant milestone, our Director, Candy Chui, attended Food Angel's special Thanksgiving Luncheon today. The event was not only a celebration of their decade-and-a-half of service but also an opportunity to tour their impressive new facility.

This cutting-edge site represents a significant leap forward in the fight against food waste and hunger. Equipped with advanced technology, the new facility is now capable of producing an astounding 50,000 nutritious meals daily—substantially increasing their capacity to serve those in need.

Since its founding in 2011, Food Angel has been on a mission to bridge the gap between surplus and shortage. By rescuing edible surplus food from various sectors of the food industry—food that would otherwise have been disposed of as waste—they tackle environmental issues while addressing food insecurity. Through strict safety protocols, they transform these rescued ingredients into wholesome, nutrient-rich meals that are distributed to underprivileged communities across Hong Kong.
